After a break in the humidity the past few days, you’ll be sure to notice it again this weekend. But, at least the heat should not be too unbearable. If nothing else, it seems fitting to spend the last weekend of July in an air mass more like the one that dominated most of the month (call it soupy?). Today should be mostly dry, but tomorrow might be a different story.

Today (Saturday): Skies are partly cloudy on the whole, tho if I had to lean one way or the other it would be on the cloudier side, especially in the afternoon. A south wind that resumed in earnest last night continues to pump in more typical summertime humidity as highs reach the 82 to 87 range most spots. Shower and t’shower odds rise to about 30% during the late afternoon, but they shouldn’t be too widespread or intense with west favored overall. Confidence: Medium

Tonight: Mostly cloudy is the general rule, with a few showers or thundershowers possible (40% chance) at times. Lows make the upper 60s to low 70s.
Confidence: Medium-High

Tomorrow (Sunday):The front responsible for increased rain chances pushes into and through the area, bringing with it more consistent rain threats. Showers and thundershowers are likely (60% chance) at times during much of the day, perhaps waning by evening or so. It doesn’t look like a big deal, but some spots may see briefly heavy rain. Mid-80s should do it for highs again. Confidence: Medium

Tomorrow night: The front may not be too quick to move off as it’s more or less washing out to our east. So, we’ll keep it partly to mostly cloudy with some showers possible (50% chance). Clearing should get further underway after midnight though. Lows make the mid-60s to near 70. Confidence: Medium

Monday features high pressure building into the area. Clouds may linger in the morning, but overall we trend to a mostly sunny day, with highs heading mainly for the mid-80s. Confidence: Medium

On Tuesday, high pressure is still in control, but it’s drifting overhead and to the east, which ultimately might start pumping moisture levels back up again and increase the threat of some clouds at times. Could be worse! Highs shoot for the mid-to-upper 80s. Confidence: Medium
