It felt a bit more August-like today, at least when it came to humidity levels. Temperatures continued their run of below normal readings though, as highs ranged from near 80 to the mid-80s.
Through Tonight: Isolated to scattered showers or thundershowers are possible (30-40% chance, east to west respectively) into the evening. Most spots won’t see much or any rain, but downpours and lightning may be a feature of any activity. Activity should wind down after dark. Dew points back up around 70 keep lows in check, meaning temps probably only reach near 70 to the low 70s. A touch of wind should keep fog from being a problem, but there could be a patch or two in spots late night.
Tomorrow (Thursday): Plan on mostly cloudy skies once again, but slightly warmer temperatures as well. Showers and thundershowers will want to roam parts of the region by afternoon but it’s only about a 40% chance locally. Highs are mostly in the mid-to-upper 80s (about 83-88). South winds around 5-10 mph keep it kinda sultry.
Pollen update: Tree, weed and grass pollen levels are all low. Mold spores remain moderate/high.
Grumpy Cat forecasts: Weather apps got you down? Weather Kitty might be the answer. The founders say they are “trying to make weather cute.” Beyond that, the utility beyond other applications may be lacking, at least at first glance. However, anything that gets people looking at the outdoor temperature is a good thing in my book!
