Stubborn morning clouds were not able to ruin the day, as hues of blue took over by lunchtime. It was quite a cool one though, more reminiscent of what we might expect in about a month, with highs rising to the mid-and-upper 60s most spots. Believe it or not, the weather only gets better from here as we move through the coming period.
Through Tonight: Clear skies, light winds, and low dew points mean we’ve got some ideal cooling conditions ahead. It’s going to be downright chilly late, with lows ranging from near 40 in the cooler spots to around 50 downtown.
Tomorrow (Tuesday): Take today, subtract the morning clouds, and add a few degrees to high temperatures. The only downside is that it’s not the weekend! Afternoon highs make it into the near 70 to mid-70s range under mostly sunny skies. Light winds are from the northwest around 5 mph.
Winter is coming: The first snow of the cold season has come to places like California, Colorado, and New Hampshire in the last 24-48 hours. While some of the highest peaks of the Rockies had already seen a dusting last week, this was the first measurable event of the season for many. A more significant storm is expected in the intermountain west later this week.
Pollen update: Mold spores are low/moderate, while grass and weed pollen is low.
