Today’s Daily Digit

A somewhat subjective rating of the days weather, on a scale of 1 to 10.

A touch warmer than Tuesday makes for a WOW-tastic Wednesday!

Express Forecast

Today: Mostly sunny and pleasant. Highs: Mid-to-upper 70s.

Tonight: Partly cloudy and comfortable. Lows: 50s.

Tomorrow: Partly to mostly sunny, still pleasant. Highs: Mid-to-upper 70s.

What Mother Nature is lacking in creativity, she is sure making up for in just plain magnificent weather day after day after day. October is often our nicest month of the year weather-wise, but it’s getting hard to imagine how the coming one could top what’s become a stupendous September. It’s also getting harder and harder to work indoors when it’s just so gosh darn nice outdoors.

Today (Wednesday): More of the same and who could complain? Skies should be mostly sunny as morning readings rise through the 50s into the 60s. Afternoon highs head for the September sweet spot – in the mid-to-upper 70s – with light and variable winds. Confidence: High

Tonight: A slight upper-level disturbance generates partly cloudy skies that help keep temperatures up a few degrees from last night. With light winds, lows range from the low-to-mid 50s in the suburbs to the upper 50s downtown. Confidence: Medium-High

Tomorrow (Thursday): Not much new here. Maybe a few clouds to make skies partly to mostly sunny. Otherwise, temperatures are still scrumptious with highs in the mid-to-upper 70s and light winds from the northeast. Confidence: High

Tomorrow night: Another very comfortable night is on tap with mostly clear skies and lows settling in the 50s. Those muggy mid-summer nights seem like a distant memory, no? Confidence: High

No reason not to keep this short and sweet. High pressure locks in the nice stuff, leaving us with a mostly sunny Friday, Saturday and Sunday with highs in the mid-70s, while Friday night and Saturday night lows bottom in the 50s once again. Confidence: Medium-High
