PM Update: Warmest October weather since 2007 ramps up

Temperature Map

Temperatures: Latest D.C. area temperature map. See interactive map on our Weather Wall.

Temperatures reached the low-to-mid 80s this afternoon, the warmest since September 12 this year.  We’re just as toasty Wednesday if not toastier. This is the warmest stretch of October weather since 2007 when we had a trio of 90+ degree days.

Through Tonight:  Clear and comfortable.  If your homes heated up today, open up the windows and you should sleep well. Morning lows range from the mid-50s in the cooler suburbs to the low 60s downtown.  Light winds.

Tomorrow (Wednesday): Mostly sunny and unseasonably warm.  Highs reach the mid-80s with an 86 or 87-degree reading within reach downtown.  Winds are light from the northwest at around 5-10 mph.  Humidity levels remain relatively low.
