Violent thunderstorms erupted from Texas to Kentucky Thursday, producing damaging winds, large hail, and some tornadoes.

Several tornadoes struck Missouri according to CNN, including one near St. Louis.  Tornadic storms – along with softball-sized hail –  also rocked Denton County, Texas, which is north of Dallas.
