Today’s Daily Digit

A somewhat subjective rating of the day’s weather, on a scale of 0 to 10.

About 10 degrees lower than yesterday is a touch cooler than ideal. Still a nice and sunny Sunday to enjoy.

Express Forecast

Today: Sunny and not as warm. Highs: Mid-to-upper 60s.

Tonight: Increasing clouds. Lows: Mid-40s to low 50s.

Tomorrow: Partly to mostly cloudy. Chance of showers. Highs: Low-to-mid 60s.

One more day to get out and enjoy before a potentially soggy several-day stretch sets in. Today is noticeably cooler than yesterday, but still plenty pleasant with no shower chance to worry about. Get in whatever outdoor activities you may want to get done, since starting later tomorrow we likely take a turn toward the damp side.  Shower chances keep increasing as we get into midweek and some showers could be rather steady and/or heavy.

nice day

Today (Sunday): Would you trade 10 degrees to get rid of any threat of showers? That’s the situation today as highs max out in the mid-to-upper 60s as opposed to yesterday’s mid-to-upper 70s, despite mostly sunny skies holding sway overhead.  Still, with a light wind from the northwest, there’s really not much to cry about, so get out and enjoy! Confidence: High

Tonight: We should see increasing clouds, especially overnight, as moisture levels rise in advance of a storm system in the central U.S. Other than that it’s fairly serene, with light winds and lows in the mid-40s to low 50s. Confidence: High

Tomorrow (Monday): Skies turn partly to mostly cloudy to begin the work week (figures, right?) as a warm front approaches. Drier air lingering in place tries to keep the showers mainly to our southwest during the morning, with a better chance (40%) of getting wet in the afternoon. Highs should manage the low-to-mid 60s with light winds near 5-10 mph from the southeast. Confidence: Medium

Tomorrow night: A bit of a soggy stretch should begin in earnest by tomorrow night. Shower chances increase to 70% for the evening and overnight with some fog or mist possible during any lulls. Lows span the upper 40s to low 50s as a moist breeze blows in from the east. Confidence: Medium

Occasional showers remain a good bet on Tuesday and could be heavy at times Tuesday night and Wednesday. An onshore flow from the east and southeast is probably enough to keep us on the damp side even when it’s not steadily raining. A wedge of colder air restricts Tuesday highs to the upper 50s to near 60. Increasing winds a bit more from the south should push Wednesday highs to the mid-60s to low 70s, which could help add some thunder to the showers.  Confidence: Medium
