Monday’s storms across the Washington, D.C. region were mostly ordinary – although there were some pockets of damaging winds particularly east of I-95 in northeast and southern Maryland.  While damage was limited, the storms turned the early evening skies almost pitch black and ignited frequent lightning.  Beautiful rainbows and a stunning sunset followed the storm’s passage.
