Today has been pretty nice despite the clouds. At least it was rain-free, which is more than we can guarantee for the weekend. Highs generally reach the low-to-mid 80s across the region. Moderately low dew points helped keep the mugginess away, as well. If you’re dying to get out of the house this weekend, tonight might be your best bet before the chance of rain increases on Saturday.
Through Tonight: It will remain mostly cloudy tonight, but otherwise pleasant with lows in the middle to upper 60s in the city, and lower 60s in our cooler suburbs. Dew points will remain low, leading to nice low humidity for your outdoor activities. Winds will be calm.
Tomorrow (Saturday and Saturday night): The chance of rain begins to increase Saturday afternoon as low pressure pushes closer to the region. Our southern suburbs have highest likelihood of showers, but even there it’s no sure thing. The chance of rain there is just 30 percent Saturday afternoon and night, with a decreasing chance as you move north. This is definitely an edge-case forecast — we may very well go through the entire weekend without a drop!
Highs on Saturday are in the middle 80s with the possibility of some sun peaking through partly cloudy skies. As moist air flows into the region, dew points will climb which will make it a little more muggy than we’ve experienced so far this week. Saturday night lows will dip to the upper 60s in the city, middle 60s in the suburbs. Winds will be from the south around 5 mph.
Sunday: The chance of rain lingers on Sunday in a similar fashion — if it rains anywhere, it will rain in our southern area first. Chance of rain is 20-40%, north to south. Skies will be mostly cloudy with highs in the low to middle 80s. Winds will be out of the southeast at 5 to 10 mph.
Pollen: Trees and grasses are LOW. Weeds are MODERATE. Mold spores are HIGH.
