Waves are crashing onshore in Taiwan today as Typhoon Soudelor makes its final approach.

Typhoon chaser James Reynolds shot the video above from the east coast of Taiwan. On Friday morning Soudelor remained a category 3 storm with sustained winds of 120 mph and gusts up to 150 mph. So far the typhoon has dropped over a foot of rain on the island, and another 2 feet are possible.
