A somewhat subjective rating of the day’s weather, on a scale of 0 to 10.

9/10: Oh the warmth outside is delightful, though it makes the snow lovers spiteful, let it go, let it go, let it go!

Today: Clouds early but some sun breaks through. Highs: 57-61
Tonight: Mostly clear and calm. Lows: 41-47
Tomorrow: Mainly sunny, barely a breeze. Highs: 61-65

The weather is definitely not syncing with the calendar as normal highs have sunk into the 40s while we are looking at taking a run at record warmth both Saturday and Sunday, when National could hit 70. Clouds zip through from time to time but rains are safely at bay until at least Sunday night. Get your strolls in now before more seasonable cold returns in about a week.

Today (Thursday): Clouds are likely to have the upper-hand through at least mid-morning, but breaks should appear by early afternoon for periods of mostly to partly sunny skies into the evening. This should allow highs to pop into the mid to upper 50s — maybe the lower 60s if we get enough sunshine. A lack of any significant breeze makes it even more inviting to be out and about. Confidence: High

Tonight: The early darkness is not so bad when readings are still in the 50s. A somewhat starry night is on tap and a string of planets may be on display in the early morning. Lows range from lower 40s suburbs to upper 40s downtown. Confidence: High

Tomorrow (Friday): The sunshine and lack of breeze feels good even in the morning and by afternoon is even better. A few clouds scuttle through from time to time. Highs reach the low-to-mid 60s, nearly 20 degrees above normal! Confidence: High

Tomorrow night: The calm and mild evening makes coats almost optional. Partly cloudy skies prevail through the long night. Lows only fall to the mid-to-upper 40s. Confidence: High

Saturday is a delight from start to finish. There should be plenty of sun with some occasional clouds passing by. Breezes start to pick up from the southwest and help push highs to mid-to-upper 60s. The sunset comes much too early but with readings still in the 60s in the evening it is hard to find fault. Clouds begin to build in overnight. Lows only fall to the upper 40s to lower 50s. Confidence: Medium-high

Skies on Sunday have a veil of high clouds. A warm wind from the south provides a good chance that some areas could hit record highs as temperatures peak in the mid-60s to around 70. Clouds are likely to increase in the evening as a storm in the Mississippi Valley starts to fire up and head our way. Overnight lows only drop to the low-to-mid 50s. Confidence: Medium-high

Monday still sports unseasonable warmth but clouds dominate and showers are likely to be commonplace by afternoon. Highs should still reach the mid-to-upper 60s unless rains speed up and arrive in the morning. Confidence: Medium
