*Frost Advisory and Freeze Warnings north and west of city*

A somewhat subjective rating of the day’s weather, on a scale of 0 to 10.

9/10: Upon reflection, this is close to perfection. Days and days of sun, my kind of a rerun.

Today: Sunny, light breezes. Highs: 58-62
Tonight: Starry skies and calm. Lows: 36-43
Tomorrow: Sunny, light breezes. Highs: 61-65

This is simple; sunny and gradually warmer through the weekend, what I like to refer to as a San Diego-kind-of-forecast. What do forecasters there do to keep from being bored? For me it will be getting out and enjoying the floriferous gardens as azaleas are on the verge of full display. The clear skies make for pleasant moon/star gazing and, on the weekend, a rare glimpse of Mercury at dusk on the western horizon.

Today (Thursday): Abundant sunshine makes the cool start to the day manageable. Light east winds and highs in the upper 50s to lower 60s deem the afternoon delightful with just a few puffball clouds.   Confidence: High

Tonight: The stars are on full display through the night. The barest of easterly breeze lingers. Lows slip to the upper 30s to lower 40s. Confidence: High

Tomorrow (Friday): Finding a cloud in the sky will be a challenge. Bright sunshine and light east winds team up with highs in the low to mid-60s for an unbeatable combo. Confidence: High

Tomorrow night: Temps fall off pretty quickly in the evening so grab the jacket on your way out the door. Clear skies and calm winds allow lows to fall back to the upper 30s in the burbs but hold in the mid-40s downtown. Confidence: High

Saturday is made for getting out and about. Sunshine continues unabated. Highs in the mid-to-upper 60s with barely a breeze make it a great day for all the Emancipation Day festivities. Evening outings will be milder than recent days with readings in the upper 50s to lower 60s. Overnight lows range through the 40s under clear skies. Confidence: High

Cloudless skies continue on Sunday and readings keep creeping warmer. Highs reach the upper 60s to lower 70s. A calm star-filled night cools to lows ranging from the mid-40s outside of town to mid-50s in the heart of the city. Confidence: High

Monday may be Tax Day but the weather pays non-taxable dividends! Mostly sunny skies and a south wind result in highs in the mid-to-upper 70s . Confidence: Medium-High
