A somewhat subjective rating of the day’s weather, on a scale of 0 to 10.

7/10: More sun, less humidity and only the slimmest shower chance.

Today: Mostly sunny. Highs: 84 to 88.
Tonight: Partly cloudy. Lows: 60 to 66.
Tomorrow: Partly sunny. Highs: 82 to 86.

By and large, this coming week should be a good one weather-wise. We’ll have nice, summery days to start and end the week with a taste of more springlike weather in between. Late Friday into Saturday is the period to watch for potential thunderstorm activity, but it’s too soon to nail down specifics on how widespread it may be and timing.

Today (Monday): We’re in between weather systems, so we should have a good deal of sunshine and warm conditions. Highs reach the mid-80s in most spots. Humidity is slightly lower than the past few days thanks to drier winds out of the west at about 10 mph. Confidence: Medium-High

Tonight: It’s mostly clear early on, but a few high clouds may streak into the area late because of the outflow from Tropical Storm Colin. We shouldn’t have to worry about rain, with lows gradually falling back into the 60s. Confidence: Medium-High

Tomorrow (Tuesday): Some of the cloud debris from Colin may skirt the region early on (especially southeast of the District), but skies should become partly to mostly sunny. A weak front will zip through the region late and may produce a shower, but I’d lean toward no. Highs reach the low-to-mid 80s. Confidence: Medium-High

Tomorrow night: After the slightest chance of an evening shower, skies gradually clear. It turns cooler, but refreshingly so, with lows in the mid-to-upper 50s. Confidence: Medium-High

We’re treated to two straight May-like days, the kind we never saw in that month itself. Both Wednesday and Thursday are positively delightful with mostly sunny skies, a pleasant breeze (from the northwest), and highs in the 70s (low-to-mid 70s on Wednesday, mid-to-upper 70s Thursday). Overnight, it’s crisp and refreshing, with lows in the 50s (maybe some upper 40s in our cooler suburbs). Confidence: Medium-High

We warm back into the 80s Friday, and most of the day should be dry. But, by the late afternoon, or more likely the evening, a disturbance diving in from the north could trigger some storms, especially in our northern areas. Lows Friday night are in the 60s. Confidence: Medium

A chance of showers and storms continues into Saturday and Saturday night. We’re unlikely to see a washout, but instead perhaps a period of showers and storms, especially in the late afternoon or evening. Highs reach the 80s, with overnight lows in the 60s. Confidence: Medium

Right now, Sunday looks as if it will be more placid than Saturday. It probably stays dry with warm highs in the 80s. Confidence: Medium
