A somewhat subjective rating of the day’s weather, on a scale of 0 to 10.

Today has some sun and is springlike before tomorrow’s cloudier warm front transitions us toward a more summery Sunday. Besides some clouds to contend with, we’re mostly dealing with rather benign weather through the weekend.

nice day

Today (Friday): Looking decent, even with periodic clouds at times. High temperatures aim for the mid-60s to around 70. Light, generally easterly breezes around 5 mph may feel refreshing when walking on the (strong) sunny side of the street. If clouds really dominate, they may subtract a couple more degrees. I might be cutting it close on a perfectly defined “Nice Day,” but it is Friday even if it’s 60 percent cloudy! Confidence: Medium

Tonight: Clouds have a higher chance of thickening and lowering on us overnight. Looking for stars? Gaze as early in the evening as possible. Southeast winds should stay around 5 mph. So you may be able to avoid a coat, with low temperatures before dawn bottoming out in the upper 40s to mid-50s (downtown). Confidence: Medium-high

Tomorrow (Saturday): Here comes the warm front passing through. We may experience several common aspects such as cloudiness more often than sunshine, slight chance of isolated light showers by midday and into afternoon, and warming temperatures perhaps a few degrees warmer than Friday. Near 70 appears possible in most spots, as southerly breezes increase to around 10 mph. Confidence: Medium

Tomorrow night: Around and after sunset, evening showers appear possible until perhaps late evening (before rain chances dwindle again). Skies may slowly clear toward dawn, when “low” temperatures may hover in the upper 50s to mid-60s. Confidence: Medium-high

Easter (Sunday): Our warm air mass fully installed, you may feel a touch of humidity, too. High temperatures respond to fairly sunny conditions by launching into the mid-to-upper 80s. No weather reason preventing you from getting to that early service you may have to attend! Any isolated showers should hold off until afternoon. Confidence: Medium-high

Sunday night: Some showers and storms could move through, but we don’t have the highest chance of rain as it appears now (around 30 percent chance). Skies could otherwise be a mix of clouds and stars. Just grab a small umbrella to be safe. Low temperatures again have trouble getting cool, in the upper 50s to mid-60s possible. Confidence: Medium

Sunny and generally warm conditions may dominate Monday into Tuesday. Mid-to-upper 70s look possible Monday for the White House Easter Egg Roll. A slight cool-down Tuesday is still comfortable in the upper 60s to perhaps low 70s. As a reminder in sunny weather — especially midday hours as we approach the summer solstice — wear that sunscreen! Confidence: Medium
