An active pattern keeps our area mostly cloudy and at times unsettled at least through midweek. Today’s a lot like yesterday, with cloudy and cool conditions, but overall comfortable and dry. We’ll warm up some tomorrow through Wednesday but with a chance of showers each day as a series of disturbances work through the area.

Today (Sunday): Onshore flow remains in control, meaning another day spent wedged in under mostly cloudy skies. Although, if you’re not jonesing for some sun for your weekend, it’s honestly not half bad. The clouds keep temperatures cool but comfortable, with highs in the mid-60s to near 70 and a light wind from the southeast. Sure, it’s no pool day, but it’s still pretty nice to be outside. Confidence: Medium-High

Tonight: An approaching warm front brings a 40 percent chance of evening showers mainly west of town. Shower chances then increase to around 70 percent area-wide overnight. We’ll stay socked in the clouds, with some fog or mist possible as well. Winds continue to form the southeast, keeping temperatures fairly mild, with lows only dropping to the upper 50s to low 60s. Confidence: Medium

Tomorrow (Monday): Morning showers are likely, along with a possible rumble of thunder or two. Showers should taper during the afternoon, and skies may brighten as highs rise into the 70s with noticeable humidity. Winds are light from the south through much of the day. Confidence: Medium

Tomorrow night: Drier air works in as winds come from the north-northwest. That helps temperatures cool down to overnight lows in the mid-50s to near 60. Confidence: Medium

Tuesday tries to start off dry, but rain chances look to return by afternoon, with occasional showers possible Tuesday night and Wednesday. Partly to mostly cloudy skies persist both days, probably holding highs to the low to mid-70s. Tuesday night lows drop back to the mid-50s to near 60. Confidence: Low-Medium
