We do finally get a break from the constant threat of rain tomorrow and Friday. But first, we may see some more showers and storms today as temperatures trend warmer. And then after a couple of nice days with low humidity, the pattern becomes more unsettled again this weekend.
Today (Wednesday): Some showers possible this morning. Otherwise mostly cloudy morning skies should give way to a partly sunny afternoon with highs heading for near 80. By late afternoon into evening we’ve got a 40 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms, although the pattern doesn’t lend itself to much confidence in their exact timing and location. Confidence: Low-Medium
Tonight: Scattered showers and storms remain possible during the evening through around midnight. Drier air moves in overnight, with partly to mostly cloudy skies as lows fall back to the upper 50s to low 60s. Confidence: Low-Medium
Tomorrow (Thursday): High pressure assumes control, bringing a warm and comfortable day and a rare break from the risk of showers and storms. Highs reach the mid-70s to near 80, with mostly sunny skies and low humidity. Winds come from the northwest around 10 mph. Confidence: Medium-High
Tomorrow night: Temperatures cool off nicely as skies continue mostly clear with light winds. Look for lows dipping to the mid-50s to near 60. Confidence: High
Friday looks like another mostly sunny day with highs reaching the low-to-mid 80s and humidity still on the low side. But shower and storm chances attempt a comeback Friday night with lows in the 60s. Confidence: Medium
The patterns revert back to a more unsettled one this weekend, with lower forecast confidence as well. The humidity returns to the noticeable range (dew points in the 60s) with some showers and storms possible Saturday (30 percent chance), and the potential for more numerous showers and storms on Sunday (50 percent chance). Highs both days should top out in the upper 70s to mid-80s. Confidence: Low
