We’ve got a bit more of this unsettled weather to get through today. Once we do, there is promise of a pretty nice end to the weekend. Our pattern of late has been rather changeable though, so it won’t be long until the next chance for more raindrops is here.

Today (Saturday): It’s not going to rain all day, and in fact a good chunk of it may be dry. Best odds for rain are probably early this morning and again this afternoon into evening. Anything this morning should be more of a showery deal, and generally not too heavy. This afternoon, scattered showers and thunderstorms may develop and move through the area ahead of a cold front. Any of that activity could become strong to severe, with hail and high winds the main risks outside heavy rain and lightning. High temperatures are well into the 80s most spots. Confidence: Medium

Tonight: Rain should be out of here before we get deep into the night. Skies trend clearer as drier air filters into the area on a northwest wind. Temperatures settle into the 60s, or near 70 in the city. Confidence: Medium-High

Tomorrow (Sunday): As fronts tend to do this time of year, the one that passes gets hung up to the south and begins to fall apart. Since it’s not getting too far from us, some clouds could linger behind it. I think we see a good deal of sun, though, as highs rise toward the low-and-mid 80s. Humidity is down as a pleasant breeze blows from the northwest. Confidence: Medium-High

Tomorrow night: It’s partly cloudy and humidity is on the lower side for summer. This combo usually leads to good things if you want to spend any time outside after dark. Pleasant, with lows mainly in the 60s. Confidence: Medium

The front to the south fully washes out and summerlike heat and humidity return on Monday. A rise in moisture levels mean we’ll see more clouds during the day, and things are hazier overall as well. I think the day stays dry, but we’ll need to watch for a late-day shower risk trying to creep in. Highs are in the mid-80s. Confidence: Medium

Coming off morning lows in the 60s to near 70, Tuesday dawns in similar fashion to the day prior. We’re a little deeper into the humidity and warmth, so highs are mid-to-upper 80s. Perhaps somewhere hits 90. Skies are partly cloudy, and there’s a better shot of some late-day showers and storms. Confidence: Medium
