FORECAST IN DETAIL
We could be well into the mid-80s to near 90 this time of year with plenty of humidity. Instead, Mother Nature is pulling out all the stops, giving us several sweet days with bright, comfortable conditions.
Today (Friday): Some clouds may mix with the sunshine at times. But that shouldn’t keep us from enjoying the comfortable, un-muggy air. Highs should stay several degrees below average, in the upper 70s to low 80s. Breezes blow lightly from the north around 10 mph. Confidence: High
Tonight: Mostly clear skies are expected, so ready those telescopes. Temperatures cool nicely as the daytime heat escapes, with no blanket of clouds to trap it at the surface. Calm winds also aid the temperature drop, helping lows bottom out in the mid-50s to perhaps mid-60s downtown. Confidence: High
Tomorrow (Saturday): Perhaps even MORE comfortable as the driest, crispest air of the weekend floats in for a day. Dew points in the low to mid-50s may feel invigorating. Be sure to put on that sunscreen, though, as mostly sunny skies shine down. Breezes from the northeast peak around 10 mph midday, as highs peak in the upper 70s to low 80s again. Fairy rings may start withering away and drying up! Confidence: High
Tomorrow night: Just a few clouds. Winds turn calm again overnight, which again enable somewhat cool and definitely comfortable overnight lows in the mid-50s to mid-60s. Confidence: Medium-High
A LOOK AHEAD
Unending August perfection looks to continue Sunday, although some clouds can’t be ruled out at times. Again upper 70s to low 80s are on tap, along with dew points below 60 — very comfortable conditions. Breezes from the east-northeast could increase to 10-15 mph midday. Maybe a sprinkle Sunday night, with upper 50s to mid-60s again for lows. Windows open all night, eh? Confidence: Medium-High
Clouds could become more of a factor later Monday and into Tuesday as an onshore flow persists, but we should still enjoy comfortable temperatures in the mid-70s to low 80s both days. Monday should stay dry despite the increasing clouds. Tuesday is when we see a chance of showers work back into the forecast, but it’s just a chance for now. Confidence: Medium
