A somewhat subjective rating of the day’s weather, on a scale of 0 to 10.

7/10: I’ll enjoy the day quite a lot, but it’s probably near the “too warm” side for many.

Today: Becoming sunny. Highs: 84-89.
Tonight: Mostly clear. Lows: 60s.
Tomorrow: Mostly clear to partly cloudy. Highs: Mid-80s to near 90.

One of the hardest parts about forecasting in these patterns is coming up with new ways to describe what often ends up a near-repeat from day to day. That’s the story through the weekend and into early next week, at the least. In this case, the main change might be slightly higher temperatures than the already quite warm readings we’ve been seeing.

Today (Saturday): We might still be dealing with some of that high cloudiness from yesterday as the day gets going, but it should break relatively quickly. Once we ditch the remnant clouds, skies are mostly sunny. As long as cloud departure isn’t heavily delayed, highs should head largely to the mid- to upper 80s. Winds are from the north around 5 to 10 mph. Confidence: High

Tonight: Skies remain mostly clear through the night. It’s another very pleasant one for any evening activities, like outdoor dining. Lows settle across the 60s — near 60 in the coolest suburbs to around 70 in the city. Winds drop to light and variable. Confidence: High

Tomorrow (Sunday): Our broken record plays on. The main change might be a few more clouds floating by, and perhaps temperatures a few degrees higher. This may mean that we threaten 90 in the city. Highs are in the mid-80s to around 90 across the region. Winds continue to be light out of the north. Confidence: High

Tomorrow night: Humidity levels have moved back up noticeably by Sunday evening and into overnight. This helps keeps temperatures up a bit compared with what we got last night and should see tonight, with lows mainly in the mid-60s to low 70s. Skies are partly cloudy. Confidence: Medium-High

You’ll never guess what kind of weather to expect on Monday. Okay, maybe you will. Largely sunny skies, and temperatures heading to the upper 80s and around 90. There’s a decent shot this will be the warmest day of this stretch. Let’s hope that means it’s on its way to breaking! Confidence: Medium-High

There might be some increase in cloud cover by Tuesday. A cold front approaches, but it is still way northwest of us. And Maria should be well offshore. The squeeze play should still be enough for some clouds. This might help keep highs in the mid-80s, or so. Confidence: Medium
