FORECAST IN DETAIL

While temperatures may be more reflective of the season the next two days, don’t get used to it. More summer warmth returns for the weekend so toss the pumpkin and grab the beach ball! At least it is not quite as humid as the recent sauna. All the missed chances for rains are not making gardens happy but maybe, just maybe, some better rain will arrive early Monday.

Skies cloud up overnight and lows range from the mid-to-upper 50s in the suburbs to lower 60s downtown. Confidence: Medium-High

Monday holds forth the promise of rains (possibly a t-storm) most any time as a decent cold front pushes into the area. Highs should be low-to-mid 70s but could be lower if the rains come very early in the day. Confidence: Medium
