There’s something to be said for a chilly fall weekend in mid-November reminding us the holiday season is just around the corner. That said, yesterday’s chill felt like too much, too soon. Temperatures moderate somewhat today and tomorrow but remain well below normal. Some light showers are possible late tonight into tomorrow morning, before high pressure brings brighter skies and gradual midweek warming.

Today (Sunday): Skies trend partly to mostly cloudy today as high pressure moves away. Still, it’s not all bad, as temperatures get a boost to the mid-40s to near 50, though that’s still 10 to 15 degrees below normal. Winds are out of the south and generally light. Confidence: Medium-High

Tonight: We stay dry through the evening hours, but our shower chances rise overnight as a weak disturbance closes in. A few snowflakes or pings of sleet could mix in north and west, but overall any precipitation should be on the light side. Expect clouds to rule the skies with lows in the mid-to upper 30s. Confidence: Medium

Tomorrow (Monday): Light showers remain possible through the morning hours. But we should be dry by afternoon with increasing sun as high pressure noses its way back into the region. Look for highs right around 50 degrees. Confidence: Medium

Tomorrow night: Skies continue to clear out through the evening and overnight and trend mostly clear by dawn. Those clearing skies and light winds should allow for another relatively cool overnight, with lows falling to the mid- to upper 30s. Confidence: Medium-High

High pressure regains control of our weather Tuesday and Wednesday. So while temperatures technically remain on the cool side, lots of sun should brighten the mood, at least. Both days should see highs reaching the low to mid-50s. Tuesday and Wednesday night lows dip to the upper 30s to low 40s. Confidence: Medium
