This roller coaster of November weather continues through the week. Today is the warm day ahead of the next cold front, and it’s the highest potential for some low 60s. Then a cold front tonight revs up the breezes and winds down the thermometer as we struggle to get above the 40s by tomorrow afternoon. Thanksgiving is also a cold turkey kind of day (at least sunny) with warming by Black Friday and then a mixed weekend.

Today (Tuesday): Mostly sunny skies with temperatures advancing more strongly to the upper 50s to low 60s by afternoon.  Calm to light winds in the morning pick up to breezy or even occasionally gusty levels by afternoon.  Winds from the south at 10-15 mph could gust to 20-25 at times in the afternoon.  Confidence: High

Tonight: Mostly cloudy as a cold front moves into the area with a slight chance for a quick shower.  Winds from the south at around 10-15 mph switch to come from the west after midnight and remain breezy to sometimes gusty.  Temperatures hold on the warmer side with 40s in the suburbs to maybe even just the low 50s in the city for lows.  Confidence: Medium

Tomorrow (Wednesday): Some morning clouds give way to mostly sunny skies, but brisk winds from the northwest at 10-15 (gusts to 20-25) make the afternoon temperatures near 50 feel much colder.  The official high temperatures for today are likely early highs given the relatively warmer early-morning hours around the cold front passage time. Confidence: Medium

Tomorrow night (Thanksgiving Eve!): This is our coldest night of the week with temperatures dropping down into the middle 30s in the city to the upper 20s in the outer suburbs. Winds are from the north at around 5 mph with mostly clear skies.   Confidence: Medium-High

Thanksgiving Thursday offers up a full serving of mostly sunny skies, but temperatures are colder as highs only manage the 40s to maybe near 50.  Thursday night should be mostly clear, and temperatures range through the 30s. Confidence: Medium-High

Friday is fine for shopping until dropping thanks to mostly sunny skies and some warmer weather (highs middle 50s).  Friday night looks partly cloudy with lows in the middle 30s to middle 40s. Confidence: Medium-High

The weekend features yet another cold front with a warm Saturday and cold Sunday.  Highs range in the middle 50s to around 60 on Saturday with partly cloudy skies and scattered afternoon to evening showers.  Saturday night turns colder under partly cloudy skies with lows in the 30s to around 40.  Sunday brings back the sun . . . along with breezy conditions and highs only in the 40s.  Confidence: Medium

Colder-than-normal weather should dominate the front of next week, but then we could climb back in the 60s by as early as next Thursday (Nov. 30th!).
