This is a tricky little forecast with varying degrees of cold and wind, and multiple chances of precipitation. When all is said and done, though, our two chances of snow — tonight and late Friday — may have trouble amounting to any meaningful accumulation.

Today (Wednesday): Cold and windy is the story today, despite mostly sunny skies through much of the day. Morning temperatures slowly rise into and through the 20s with afternoon highs only in the low-to-mid 30s. Add in winds from the west gusting to near 35 mph, and you’ve got wind chills mainly in the teens and 20s. Look for increasing clouds by late afternoon. Confidence: High

Tonight: Some snow showers or flurries are possible this evening and overnight as a clipper comes through with mostly cloudy skies. Any snow we get would likely stick, with temperatures falling back toward lows in the mid-20s to near 30. But as of now the snow looks too light for anything more than a dusting to a light coating, if that. Winds relax to around 10 mph from the south. Confidence: Medium

Tomorrow (Thursday): Temperatures moderate just a bit, with highs heading for the upper 30s to low 40s. But still it’s another chilly day, with winds from the northwest gusting near 30 mph, keeping wind chills mainly in the upper 20s to low 30s under partly sunny skies. Confidence: Medium-High

Tomorrow night: Winds diminish again as we head into the evening and become light overnight. Lows drop back into the 20s with partly to mostly cloudy skies. Confidence: Medium-High

We’re partly to mostly cloudy again on Friday with chilly highs in the mid-30s, but at least winds are light. Friday afternoon and night, we could see another round of flurries or a little light snow, as a storm system passes to our north and regenerates off the coast. Friday-night lows bottom out in the 20s, with overnight winds picking up from the west. Confidence: Low-Medium

Saturday should be on the breezy side, but overall not quite as cold, with partly to mostly sunny skies and highs near 40. Saturday-night lows dip to the mid-20s to near 30. Confidence: Medium-High

Sunday starts dry but with clouds on the increase again. Precipitation chances rise again Sunday afternoon into the evening. But with Sunday highs in the 40s, anything that falls should be in the form of rain. Confidence: Low-Medium

1/10 (): Chances for light snow tonight and late Friday, but for now both looking too light for meaningful accumulation.
