FORECAST IN DETAIL
The bad news is more clouds today than yesterday. The good news? We’re still plenty mild, even if not quite as warm as yesterday. The mild air sticks around through Tuesday, with a decent dose of showers likely Monday night into Tuesday, courtesy of a cold front that puts a temporary end to our warmer weather by Wednesday.

Today (Sunday): While we might squeak out some early sun, most of the day may wind up on the mostly cloudy side, thanks to increasing moisture levels and a warm front nearby. We’re on the warm side of the front, though, which means highs at least in the low to mid-50s, and possibly the mid-50s to near 60 where clouds are thinner. Winds are light and from the south. Confidence: Medium-High
Tonight: Mostly cloudy conditions continue, and with light winds and higher moisture levels, some patchy fog/drizzle is possible overnight. Lows drop back to the low to mid-40s. Confidence: Medium-High
Tomorrow (Monday): We should start off mostly cloudy on what’s looking like an impromptu day off for many across the area. But skies may brighten as the warm front moves away toward the north during the day. And with a light wind form the south, highs should manage near 60 to the mid-60s. Confidence: Medium-High
Tomorrow night: The cold front portion of this developing system comes knocking, with showers possible after midnight and becoming likely toward morning. A few of these showers could form a rather gusty line moving through as dawn approaches, with perhaps even a rumble or two of thunder. Overnight lows fall to the upper 40s and low 50s. Confidence: Medium
A LOOK AHEAD
Rain showers linger into Tuesday morning as the cold front finishes crossing the region. Skies should turn partly to mostly sunny during the afternoon, and that helps highs back to near 60 to the mid-60s with a noticeable breeze. The colder air starts to funnel in on winds from the northwest Tuesday night, as lows fall back to the low to mid-30s under mostly clear skies. Confidence: Medium
The end of our warm spell arrives by Wednesday. Now, we’re not exactly heading back into the freezer, and the cool-down looks fairly short-lived. But even with plenty of sun, temperatures struggle toward highs in the mid-40s or so, with a lingering breeze adding to the chill. Confidence: Medium
