Winter is in no hurry to let go, as cold and generally breezy conditions stay with us through the end of the workweek. Temperatures should finally moderate somewhat by Sunday, though we may have to start paying attention to another snow threat for early next week, if the models keep showing it.
Today (Wednesday): Spring continues missing in action today, with temperatures well below normal and a chilly wind. We’re partly cloudy as morning readings rise into and through the 30s, with afternoon highs only in the low-to-mid 40s. Winds come from the west-northwest around 15-25 mph, with gusts around 30-40 mph. Can’t rule out a few flurries. Confidence: Medium-High
Tonight: Skies continue partly cloudy with a lingering breeze around 10-15 mph from the west-southwest and some higher gusts. Lows fall to the mid-20s to low 30s. Confidence: High
Tomorrow (Thursday): We’re still partly cloudy and breezy with a morning flurry possible. But overall it’s a slightly less gusty and milder breeze, around 10-20 mph from the west with gusts near 30 mph, as afternoon highs top out near 50. Confidence: Medium-High
Tomorrow night: Winds relax more noticeably, although we’ll still maintain a bit of a breeze as a cold front comes through. Meanwhile skies trend mostly clear, with lows down to the upper 20s to low 30s. Confidence: Medium-High
We stay on the breezy side Friday as colder air settles back in, with highs in the mid-40s under partly to mostly sunny skies, followed by chilly Friday night lows in the 20s. Confidence: Medium-High
Much of Saturday should be quiet with highs in the mid-40s to near 50, but we could see a rain or snow shower late Saturday into early Sunday as low pressure passes by to our south. Saturday night lows drop back to the mid-20s to mid-30s, with Sunday highs in the 50s. Confidence: Medium
