Alex Ovechkin is back on the ice in Arlington (updated)

Alex Ovechkin returned to Washington Monday evening and is back on the ice at Kettler Capitals Iceplex this morning with an ever-growing group of his teammates.

Those on the ice this morning are: Ovechkin, Braden Holtby,  Mike Ribeiro, Mike Green, John Carlson, Matt Hendricks, Jason Chimera, Jay Beagle, Jack Hillen and John Erskine. The second goalie on the ice this morning is Caps video coach Bret Leonhardt.

Here’s how Ovechkin announced his return to the DC region:

Great to be home in DC! Thank you Dynamo!! It was gr8 time......good luck to boys for gagarin cup!!!
