Open thread: Capitals at Maple Leafs

(Blair Gable/Reuters)

The Capitals continue their quest for progress, and wins, under Coach Adam Oates tonight against the Toronto Maple Leafs. It’s the first of back-to-back games with another tilt on tap tomorrow against the Philadelphia Flyers at Verizon Center.

Goaltender Michal Neuvirth will make his fifth consecutive start and will be opposed by Toronto’s James Reimer (2-1-0, .910 save percentage and 3.04 GAA).

Before the game, the Capitals made a pair of AHL trades sending center Zach Hamill to Florida (San Antonio) for forward Casey Wellman and picking up forward Peter LeBlanc from Chicago (Rockford) for forward Mathieu Beaudoin. Both players are expected to suit up for the Hershey Bears.

Discuss the game in the comment section below.
