At long last, center Mikhail Grabovski is able to join the Capitals.

Grabovski’s visa issues were resolved Monday in his meeting with the U.S. consulate and he is traveling from Toronto to Washington tonight. Grabovski, 29, will take part in practice with Group B (those playing in Philadelphia Monday night) at KCI Tuesday morning.

The rest of the team, including Alex Ovechkin, Nicklas Backstrom and Mike Green, will be in Baltimore for the morning skate ahead of the Baltimore Hockey Classic against the Bruins Tuesday night. But finally, the Capitals can begin to integrate their newest player into the mix and get a better idea of how the lineup will work in the regular season.

“It’s not my first time I play for different team. But it’s always new people and new characters,” Grabovski said Saturday in Belleville, Ontario, where the Capitals opened the preseason. “But it’s good experience for me. I always looking forward and enjoy this moment.”
