BALTIMORE COMIC-CON: Today’s the last day to vote for the 2014 Harvey Awards

A QUICK REMINDER: If you’re a comics-industry pro and you haven’t voted yet, today’s your last chance to cast your ballot for the esteemed Harvey Awards.

The awards, hosted by Baltimore Comic-Con, honor top writers and artists in nearly two-dozen categories. Among the multiple nominees this year are Paul Pope (“Battling Boy”); Rep. John Lewis’s graphic-novel memoir “March: Book One”; the Adventure Time books — as well as talents behind All-New X-Men, Daredevil, Hawkeye, Kevin Keller, MIND MGMT, Mouse Guard, Quantum and Woody, SAGA, Sex Criminals and Six Gun Gorilla, to cite just ten more.

The deadline to vote is midnight today, convention organizers say.

The 27th annual Harvey Awards will be Sept. 6 during the event at the Hyatt Regency Baltimore, and the keynote speaker will be Gail Simone.

Writer/artist/visual storyteller Michael Cavna is creator of the "Comic Riffs" column and graphic-novel reviewer for The Post's Book World. He relishes sharp-eyed satire in most any form.
