ANOTHER WEEK, another trailer appearance of Josh Brolin as a Marvel villain.

It looks to be a very Brolin summer, in fact, at the superhero box office. Last week brought the latest trailer for Disney/Marvel’s “Avengers: Infinity War,” featuring new shots of Brolin as the toweringly powerful Thanos, who’s bent on wiping out half of humanity.

On Thursday, Fox dropped its new look at “Deadpool 2,” in which Brolin — as the mighty Cable — is bent on sweeping aside Deadpool (Ryan Reynolds) to acquire his target.

Reynolds is in true motormouth form, breaking fourth walls and cracking skulls as the nearly three-minute trailer cues up Air Supply and references “Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants” (the latter a nod, naturally, to the breakthrough film of Reynolds’s real-life wife, Blake Lively).

Deadpool is assembling X-Force, his black-ops squad whose members, he cheekily says, are “tough, morally flexible and young enough to carry their own franchise for 10 to 12 years.” The Merc With a Mouth also pays “derivative” homage by spinning in Xavier’s metallic wheelchair.

“Deadpool 2″ returns Morena Baccarin (as Vanessa), T.J. Miller (Weasel), Brianna Hildebrand (Negasonic Teenage Warhead), Karan Soni (Dopinder) and the hilarious Leslie Uggams (Blind Al), with Zazie Beetz joining the fray as the mercenary Domino.

Now we await a longer look at Deadpool’s gray X-Force suit.

“Deadpool 2″ opens May 18, hot on the heels of “Infinity War,” which opens April 27.

May Brolin rule the box office for weeks.

Caveat: The trailer, like any “Deadpool” film, contains profanity.
