Michael Morse: ‘This division is gonna be our division’

Hey look, it’s Michael Morse, hugging team owner Ted Lerner.

There were many more Lerner shots than you typically see during a Nats postgame celebration, and also many big words from Morse.

“This is unbelievable,” he told MASN’s Kristina Akra after the game. “Words can’t describe. What can I say? This is huge for the city, it’s huge for the fans. They stuck with us through the tough times, and now the good times. So thanks for being here, thanks for staying out here with us. I mean, this is as much your win as it is our win, so thank you….

” We’ve got so much talent,” he continued. “This is just the tip of the iceberg I feel like. We have so much talent. This team is built for the future. And to get here now? This division is gonna be our division…It’s only gonna get better. It’s only gonna get bigger and better.”
