Cam Newton and Robert Griffin III shared a moment on the field after the Panthers beat the Redskins on Sunday.

What was said?

“He gave me his number, told me to contact him,” Griffin said after the game. “Basically we’re both two young quarterbacks in this league trying to get better, trying to lead our teams to victory. I told him I think that his team has a lot of talent, and that the possibilities are endless for them. And I feel the same way about our team. The media will say your record is what you are, but I just don’t feel like that, [that] our record is what we are.”

“I’m a big RGIII fan,” Newton said. “His skillset and what he brings to this football game is very rare. I know it, you know it, everybody knows it. And I just told him, in a synopsis, to keep going and keep fighting. Because it’s a long season, and with his skillset he can have a long career.”
