D.C. United snow delay photos

Mother Nature is clearly having a little fun with soccer fans. Last night’s playoff match against the New York Red Bulls, which originally switched locations because of Superstorm Sandy, was postponed thanks to snow on the pitch in New Jersey

As you can see from the photos, the arena’s solution was an army of workers with shovels. Not the best planning, if you ask me. But kudos to the 700 D.C. United fans who jumped on buses and sat in the snow, only to be sent home. I’ll have more on that later.

For now, here’s a look at what you missed from your warm couch at home.
