If you’re any sort of sports fan, you watched the second quarter of Thursday’s game in amazement. The Redskins’ 28-point eruption was not all because of Robert Griffin III, but he did so many terrific things in such a short period of time on such a giant stage, that you couldn’t help but shake your head and slap yourself in the face a bit.

Well, the Nats are sports fans, so they watched all that, and they shook their heads, and then they wrote about it on Twitter. This included lifelong Cowboys fan Bryce Harper, who once proclaimed “Cowboys Cowboys Cowboys for life!!!” but has since repeatedly expressed massive admiration for RGIII.

Thursday, that admiration led him to wear RGIII socks as the quarterback became just the fourth rookie signal caller to win in Dallas.

And Harper wasn’t the only D.C. athlete in awe.
