When Aldrick Robinson made it into the end zone against Dallas on Thursday, he broke out into a dance. The moves earned him some accolades from the NFL Network, who named him the winner of their “Dancing with the starters” segment. Robinson beat out Owen Daniels’s turkey-carving pantomime, Mike Thomas with an uninspired dance montage, Janoris Jenkins and his weird ball-spin/making-it-rain combo and Brett Keisel’s bow-and-arrow move. Tough competition.
Few people actually knew what Robinson’s dance was all about, though, so I asked him to elaborate yesterday at Redskins Park.
“It’s this little Dallas dance called the Zombie,” he explained. “You kinda just make your arms stretch out like a zombie. I just dropped with it one time, and then got back and rolled my head around like a walking zombie.”
Robinson admitted that he had been planning the move for a while, and even practiced ahead of time, like any proper dancer would.
“I practiced it a couple times,” he laughed. “I watched it on YouTube a couple of times, then I was practicing a little bit. It was definitely worth it.”
If it comes with touchdowns, then yes, it’s worth it.
Via Mr. Irrelevant, here’s a gif of the one-man dance party.
