WTVR, the CBS affiliate in Richmond, recently caught up with Robert Griffin III’s grandmother, who has been Richmond resident since 1999. Juley Allen, whose own nickname is RG3-G, spoke to the station about watching her grandson play.

“It’s just so wonderful, so beautiful to see, to live to see my grandson run like that and be so brave,” Allen said in the video, which has since been removed from the station’s site.

A former New Orleans Saints fan, RG3-G switched allegiances when RGIII was drafted by the Redskins, and she told the station that she spends Sundays in her living room running with her grandson. In spirit, at least.

“Every time he’s running, I’m running. When he’s pulling his shirt, I’m pulling his shirt,” she laughed. “I was very proud. Very proud of him.”

We’ll add the video of RGIII’s very adorable grandmother to this post if it reappears on the WTVR site.
