The NFL has announced playoff scenarios, and it turns out that the Redskins can clinch a playoff spot on Sunday, with a little help. First, they have to beat the Eagles. Then they need the New York Giants to lose at Baltimore, Chicago to lose at Arizona and Minnesota to lose at Houston to clinch a spot. But hey, it’s possible.
The team announced earlier in the week that season ticket holders can begin reserving their potential playoff tickets, with the rest going on sale to the general public on December 29. That’s a lot of playoff talk for the superstitious types who don’t like discussing such things when there are important games left to play. But I think Darrell Green sums up the majority opinion.
It really feels good to think that the Redskins could actually make the playoffs. Somebody pinch me! Go Skins!

* Wizards lost.
TWEET OF THE NIGHT
The Shanahans are offensive geniuses…gonna miss playing for them. At least until I rejoin the team for the NFC championship game #HTTR

QUOTE OF THE NIGHT
Randy Wittman on the Wizards’ losses:
“I look up every morning and make sure the sky’s up there, that it’s not falling in on me. Trust me. This has not been fun. We’re going to continue to fight and we’ll continue to try it again.”
