* Nationally, the game was the highest-rated Redskins-Cowboys primetime meeting in 19 years, with an 18.3 rating and a 30 share. (The above-mentioned 1993 Monday Night game earned a 20.7 rating and a 34 share nationally.) Nationally, the rating was up seven percent over last year’s Week 17 meeting between the Cowboys and Giants, which had similar stakes.
* Nationally, the game was also the highest-rated NFL regular-season primetime game ever on NBC, and the highest-rated NFL regular-season primetime broadcast on any network in 15 years, since the Broncos faced the 49ers on Monday Night Football in December of 1997.
* The top 10 metered markets for the broadcast also included No. 2 Richmond (a 42.8 rating), No. 3 Norfolk (a 37.1 rating) and No. 8 Baltimore (a 23.9 rating).
