John Wall participated in his first practice yesterday, and everyone was excited. Wall didn’t speak with reporters after practice, but his coach and teammates were more than happy to spout positive pixels about his return.
“This is Christmas all over for him, I’m sure, to finally reach this point. You could see the spark in his eyes — finally. So we just got to be patient. He’s got to be itching to push this as fast as he can. We got to be careful with that.” – Randy Wittman
“He’s still the same player. Fast. Aggressive. He looked good. Looked like his old self.” – A.J. Price
“Everybody was excited. Everybody played with a lot of intensity today. Everybody wanted to be here. Everybody was excited to practice, so that’s a good thing.” – Trevor Ariza
“It felt good. Me and [Wall] on the court at the same time in practice, we just love talking junk to each other. Now I got somebody to talk junk to.” – Trevor Booker
