The Redskins’ Ring of Fame has a lot of big names on it. The famous Redskins fan group, the Hogettes, are petitioning the team to add one more, and have started a campaign to have former team play-by-play announcer Frank Herzog added to the Ring of Fame.
“His blood is burgundy and gold,” Boss Hogette Mikey T told WTOP. “We hope the Redskins give him wonderful consideration.”
According to the news organization, Herzog called 498 consecutive games, including four Redskins Super Bowls. The most recent inductee was Brian Mitchell in 2009, so the team is due to add a few names to the list of greats.
Should Herzog be one of them?

QUOTE OF THE NIGHT
Adam LaRoche on signing his new contract with the Nats:
“It’s good to have it done, it really is. At the end of the year, I was pretty confident I was coming back. There was a little stretch there it wasn’t looking good. Some other teams were coming on pretty strong. The whole time, I was kind of fighting for this to work out. I’m glad it did. This was my first choice, without question.”
