Nats Park featured in ‘House of Cards’ credits

All those network TV stations that come to D.C. for sporting events wind up featuring intro footage from the Mall, and Capitol Hill, and the monuments. Kevin Spacey’s new set-in-D.C. Netflix show ‘House of Cards,’ meanwhile, used a shot of Nats Park during its credits.

And also shots of Bloomingdale and Eckington, as the Bloomingdale blog noted.

And also some random building near Metro Center, as some random dude noted.

And also the inside of The Washington Herald. Which is probably getting ready to move to Landover or something.

This is also perhaps the most atmospheric Nationals Park has ever appeared on national television. Or national Internet television, I guess. Makes D.C. look kind of gritty and industrial, which is not our usual image.
