Werth, Zimmerman and LaRoche at Daytona 500

While the rest of the Nats were busy tying the Marlins on the second day of Spring Training games, a quintet of D.C. baseball stars took in Jimmie Johnson’s victory in the Daytona 500.

Jayson Werth, Ryan Zimmerman, Adam LaRoche, Tyler Clippard and Craig Stammen all were expected to attend Daytona International Speedway on Sunday afternoon. Stammen tweeted from the event, while various on-site observers captured images of Werth, Zimmerman and LaRoche.

The first baseman managed to photobomb one of Johnson’s post-race interviews, while Zimmerman did an interview with SiriusXM Radio’s NASCAR channel. Werth, meanwhile, has a large beard. Mike McCarthy, who took the first photo above, said that Werth was standing next to the guys from Duck Dynasty, and bystanders thought he was one of the guys on the show.
