Brooks Laich throws out Orioles first pitch

Brooks Laich, who was named after famed Orioles third baseman Brooks Robinson, threw out the first pitch in Baltimore on Monday night. The Caps forward promised on Twitter last week that his throw would have some juice to it, and he delivered.

“I just want to whip it in like a normal pitch,” he told reporters prior to tossing the pitch to the outfielder Chris Dickerson. “There’s gonna be scouts in the stands. I want a minor league deal for the summer.”

Laich tweeted his appreciation after the game, along with a video of the pitch. Not bad.
