Nats to wear camo jerseys on Memorial Day

If you’re among the 16 percent of those who voted that you loved the Nats camo caps yesterday, then this might just make your day. A Uniwatch reader noticed that the official MLB shop is offering jerseys with camouflage logos and numbers for each team. The description for the jerseys states: “As worn on-field Memorial Day may 27th, 2013.” It appears that the Nats will be hitting the field in a complete camo ensemble.

An authentic version of the jersey will set you back $256.99. There’s no language in the listing that suggests any portion will go to charity, unlike the camo caps, which benefit Welcome Back Veterans. If that’s too rich for your blood, you can rock a camo-themed shirsey for $26.99.

Update: An MLB spokesman confirmed that 100 percent of the proceeds from the camo jerseys will go to Welcome Back Veterans, the same group that will receive the money from sales of camo caps.
