Kirk Cousins sings Rebecca Black’s ‘Friday’

After videos surfaced of a teenage Kirk Cousins singing in various high school musicals, Sarah Kogod asked the Redskins backup quarterback if we’d be seeing him perform again anytime soon.

“I think we gotta leave the past in the past,” he said back in May.

The “past” was a little more recent than Cousins let on, apparently. Because here he is in February, belting out Rebecca Black’s terrible pseudo-hit, “Friday,” at Michigan State’s annual Spartan Winter Tailgate.

Thanks, I guess, to @recordsANDradio for finding this clip, and thanks to whoever uploaded it for only making it 11 seconds. And thanks to Rebecca Black for reminding us that life is short, so we gotta be fresh, gotta go downstairs, gotta have our bowl, gotta have cereal, seein’ everything, the time is goin’, tickin’ on and on, everybody’s rushin’, gotta get down to the bus stop. Ugh.

Update: Sarah points out that Cousins also sang “Friday” during an interview with Dan Patrick in October of 2011. That video, though, seems to have disappeared from the Internet, which is really just fine.
