Otto Porter, Glen Rice make fun of John Wall’s first pitch (Video)

Two years ago John Wall threw one of the worst first pitches by an athlete in first-pitch history. It was so bad that even after a redemption first pitch in April, he is still remembered for his disastrous trip to the mound. So much so that last week SportsCenter ranked it as the worst ever.

New Wizards Otto Porter and Glen Rice had never seen the embarrassing throw, so during dinner while in Las Vegas for Summer League, the folks at Monumental Sports showed them. And in a moment of brilliance, got the reaction on video with Bradley Beal looking on.

“That wasn’t even a throw,” quipped Porter.

“Oh, no, no,” said Rice, shaking his head after a burst of laughter. “You can’t redeem yourself from this, here. This right here…look at his windup. He ain’t got no follow through. Oh, John-nee.”

Here’s the video. Also of note, the Wizards apparently employ a “one-chair buffer” rule while eating. Probably smart with those 7-foot wingspans.
