An RGIII out of Bud Light boxes

One of the more interesting nuggets that came out of GQ’s “Outtakes” from its much-discussed Robert Griffin III article concerned that demon alcohol. Griffin, you see, says he’s never had a drop.

Never had a drop,” he told the magazine. “I don’t smoke, I don’t drink, I’ve never done any drugs. I need my body to be at its peak performance, and I want to have a long career, and alcohol can inhibit that sometimes. And I don’t need to get in trouble because I went out and got drunk one night and I don’t know how to be drunk. But [wife Rebecca] drinks, and I don’t judge, and what I’ve told her a bunch of times is the first time I drink, I’ll drink with her. When I’m done playing and I retire, and it’s time for me to go sit in a big house and do nothing all day, I’m going to drink. You know?”

Not exactly, but whatever. Anyhow, his teetoling ways didn’t stop a local alcohol shop — Cleveland Park Wine & Spirits — from setting up a bunch of Bud Light boxes in the shape of a football player with Griffin’s head in the face mask.

Making football players out of Bud Light boxes, of course, is nothing new. But this is the first RGIII I’ve ever seen might out of those packages. Probably can’t compete with the RGIII made out of Subway Smokehouse BBQ Chicken, but then, few things can.
