Watch Bryce Harper forget how many outs there were

(Matt Slocum/Associated Press)

When Bryce Harper caught this shallow pop fly on Tuesday night, he thought the inning was over.

Turns out, it was only the second out. Major League rules mandate there must be three to close out a frame.

Harper realized his mistake, and jogged back to his position, smiling and laughing. Phillies fans, fulfilling their biological destiny, booed. And Harper’s teammates tittered.

It’s a long season. You gotta find some smiles where you can.
