A Riggins-Ovechkin jersey

This admittedly isn’t the world’s best photograph, but it shows a man at Caps practice Friday morning wearing a jersey stitched together out of remnants of Alex Ovechkin and John Riggins.

Well, remnants of their jerseys, not remnants of their actual bodies.

I’ve written about many, many odd D.C. sports fan jerseys over the years, but I can’t recall one like this. Unless I’ve already written about it, in which case, apologies.

“Guy at Kettler with a half Ovi, half Riggins jersey,” Reader Jeff explained. “Capitals on front and right arm, Skins and Riggins on back and left arm.”

Half Ovechkin, Half Riggins, All Weird.

Dan Steinberg writes about all things D.C. sports at the D.C. Sports Bog.
