NESN announcer calls Caps the ‘Washington Lowercases’

The Caps played the Bruins in Boston last night for some preseason action, and as is the case with most preseason games, the home team handles the broadcast. This meant that last night Caps fans were treated to dulcet tones of the Bruins broadcast team for their viewing pleasure, including NESN’s Jack Edwards (yes, this Jack Edwards), who is apparently a clever man.

This one comes from the Bog’s team of on-the-street Twitter reporters: At some point in the broadcast, Edwards referred to the Caps as the “Washington Lowercases.” I’ll bet he’s been waiting all summer to unleash that brilliance.

The quip came to the delight of some Bruins fans, who apparently need to raise their standards of “awesome.”
